Boston: Little, Brown & Co., 1941. First Edition. Jacket drawing by Harry Nonnamaker. SIGNED by the author on ffep. VG green cloth binding (ownership signature on ffep, foxing to endpapers) in a Good or better unclipped dustjacket (chipping and sunning to spine, rubbing and foxing, one inch closed tear to front).Bells first and only novel, serialized in the Saturday Evening Post and made into a 1941 film. Georgia-born Bell died in 1944 during the war. Uncommon signed.
