Portland, ME: The Southworth-Anthoensen Press, 1937. Cloth in DJ. Very Good+/Very Good. Small 4to. [i-vii] viii-xii, 92 pp. Blue cloth with gilt titling and decoration to spine, in plain blue paper dust jacket with black titling. DJ faintly yellowed from sunning at spine and creases, very lightly chipped at corners. Spine cloth gently rubbed at ends. Front endpapers offset with tape residue from apparent inlaid item, no longer present. Flyleaf inscribed in black ink "For Billy Buffum with the author's thanks and compliments. 25 January 1938." Text block very lightly toned but clean and sound. Some soiling and small (appx. 1/2 inch) split to rear hinge. Deckled fore edge. Illustrated throughout with facsimile plates and diagrams, from an exhibition of books on navigation science arranged by Wroth at the John Carter
Brown Library during his time at Brown University.
