Clean, bright, square book with light rubbing to spine and just one board corner bumped, some offsetting and light toning to endpapers. Bright dust jacket is free of tears, with slight edgewear and a few minute crinkles near the edges, light rubbing where cloth meets the boards. Some slight softening at top and bottom of spine and one ~1-2mm whitened spot of wear at top of spine. Presents nicely in fresh mylar dust jacket protector. The Tao of Pooh has itself become a cultural icon and the first printing is scarce.

Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, 1974. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First printing of Stephen King's first book. First Edition stated on copyright page, with P6 code printed in the gutter of p. 199 of the text indicating the first state. A great copy, which I will try to describe thoroughly to prospective buyers. This is a bright and square copy in maroon cloth that has a few minor spots of rubbing/soil remnants, perhaps as if the book was handled a bit outside of the jacket. The book seems too tight to have been read. The gilt titling to the spine is bright, with a few small rubbed imperfections in "Carrie". Light rubbing to cloth at bottom of boards, but not nearly worn through. Rear paste-down has a small, 5mm defect at the corner, where it is torn but still pasted down. Black cloth with bright gilt titling on spine and "Imperium" stamped in blind to front board. Light edgewear and minor marks to binding; corners bumped; binding is solid with sound hinges. Text appears unmarked. xliii, 626 pp with index.

Two volumes in original bindings, leather at spine and corners and marbled boards. viii, 280 pp, 345 pp. Bindings in quite good shape, with hinges uncracked or lightly started if at all. Light wear to board edges, with corners lightly worn through in places. Water stain to fore-edge of many pages of Volume 2, largely in the margin, and not preventing pages from opening or turning. Texts free of noted marks. Bookplates of Henry Howard of Greystoke, who lived in an honest to God castle, to front pastedown of both volumes. The work is comprised mostly of letters from the author to Voltaire, and responses from the latter, on the subject of Atlantis and its geographic location, arguing from the dissemination of astrological lore, mythology, religion, and language. Some edgewear and soiling to edges of cloth, bumping and rubbing to corners but overall in solid shape. Hinges lightly cracked but holding together well. Spines darkened but gilt titling is bright. Top page edges darkened, some foxing to first few and last few pages, but minor and not present throughout the text. Bookplates of Sir Henry Bellingham, Bt, to front pastedowns of both volumes, and inscription of Henry (or Harry) Bellingham, dated January 1901, in both volumes.
