Housed in the original box with the stamp of the publisher's archive and two handwritten labels - one giving the name of the display and the other reading "F21". Also with the original tissue-covered cotton insert to protect the relief. A few very minor scratches and spots to the frame. There is some wear to the box and the tissue covering for the cotton padding is torn. Excellent condition. Uncommon, early-20th century anatomical relief of the European frog species Rana esculenta (the common European water frog, or green frog). The publisher's archive copy, in excellent condition in the original box. Chinese Kuomintang propaganda poster printed in red, issued by the Political Training Department of the Military Affairs Commission. Text in traditional Chinese. Chinese character for "one" at lower left apparently indicates more posters in this series. Small mark right edge, some light creases, very good. Sheet measures 78.6 x 26.8cm. The Double Tenth Day celebrates the Wuchang Uprising on October 10th 1911. The uprising took place in what is today the Wuchang district within Wuhan and brought about the end of the Qing Dynasty. This uprising was the first of a series of uprisings across China and by the end of 1911 there was really no doubt that the Qing Dynasty would fall. [南京].[Nanking].: 南京特別市農民協會.. [1928].. Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) propaganda poster stencilled in blue and red, appears to have been issued folded with 4 neat horizontal folds visible, some other minor creasing, small closed tear from margin, archival repair to lower left corner, small stain lower corner. Issued by the Peasants' Association of Nanking Special Municipality, the party emblem of KMT is centrally placed at the top of the poster with skulls and crossbones just below, calligraphic text takes up the majority of the poster with the characters for "five" and "three" highlighted, lower edge dripping blood, overall very good. Text in traditional Chinese. Sheet measures 78 x 26cm. In the final stage of the Northern Expedition, Chang Kai-shek's National Revolutionary Army (NRA) entered Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province in April 1928. This is an ORIGINAL Swedish one-sheet movie poster for "SAN FRANCISCO", the 1936 MGM film starring Clark Gable, Jeanette MacDonald, Spencer Tracy, Jack Holt and Ted Healy. Directed by W. S. Van Dyke. Expertly linen mounted. Image: 27 1/2" x 39 1/2". Art by Eric Rohman (1891-1949), a Swedish artist who specialized in Swedish movie posters. He estimated that he had done over 7000 posters in his lifetime. Signed in the print. "San Francisco" was released in Sweden in November,1936. Princeton: Princeton University, 2003 Promotional poster printed in red and black on heavy cream paper for Morrison's reading from her novel LOVE. Council of Humanities and the Program in African-American Studies (November 4th, 2003) on the Princeton University campus at the Historic Alexander Hall in the Richardson Auditorium, a venue where Morrison who long taught at Princeton frequently appeared. This copy signed by Toni Morrison. Pin holes at the corners (three interiorly) and a faint crease to top edge, else in fine condition.

New York: Westside Committee to Free Angela, 1971 Two pieces of Angela Davis ephemera: 1) An original pictorial flyer/ broadside from the Westside Committee to Free Angela Davis, displayed in a two-way glass frame. A small nick to top edge and light wear, else in fine condition; 2) An original printing of the People's Petition Demanding Bail for Angela Davis (New York: National United Committee to Free Angela Davis), in fine condition and displayed in the two-way glass frame on the verso of the Dance for Freedom flyer.

[Washington, D.C.] & New York: U.S. Treasury Dept., United States Printing & Lithograph Co., 1918. One large original poster, 20 x 30 in., colour lithograph (toning to fore-edges, couple minor closed tears neatly repaired on verso, minor chipping to corners, oxidization of paper on verso), still a remarkably bright copy with little sunning to the image retaining the original richness. First edition of this very popular poster executed by Haskell Coffin in 1918 employing the image of Joan of Arc to pull at the heartstrings of American women to buy War Savings Stamps for the war effort. Cecil B. DeMille’s 1916 epic film, Joan: The Woman had generated so much press coverage, and movie lovers that Joan of Arc had become a household name. War Savings Stamps were inexpensive, and after completing a booklet could be converted into War Bonds -- these drives funded two-thirds of the American war effort in World War I. Stockholm: Svensk Filma, 1987. No Binding. Fine. A quite sensational item of movie memorabilia! A cinema poster or flyer for the 1980's re-screening in Stockholm, Sweden, of Ingmar Bergman's 1949 movie "Törst" (The Thirst). The poster has been inscribed, signed and dated by Ingmar Bergman. Professionally framed by the original recipient and is under glass. The actual poster or flyer is presumably a reproduction of the original poster for the re-screening event. The frame measures approximately 16" x 12.25" and the poster will, thus, be very slightly smaller. To the verso of the frame there is a printed sticker from the framers stating (in Swedish) - "The artwork is insulated with cardboard. 100% cotton" (Google translate). I interpret this to mean that it is cotton-backed. The inscription is located below the final titles and is in blue ink. St. Valentin's Day card, dated by him in 1902. Size is 7.9 x 5.75 inches, creases, in very good condition.

[Berkeley]: [People's Park Negotiating Committee and others], 1969. Very good +. 21 leaflets or handbills, mimeographed or offset printed on variously-colored stocks, and all measuring 8.5" x 11". Condition varies, with occasional toning or flattened folds, but mostly very good or better. Two examples printed on yellow paper show more wear, having obviously spent some time on a telephone pole, with some insect damage and corner tears, but still generally complete. A rich collection of hastily produced leaflets, most of which date to May and June, 1969 (a few are as late as September). The area in question, People's Park, had been just recently opened, and was owned by UC-Berkeley. The university quickly developed plans to convert the land into a sports facility, though the space had already become a haven for campus radicals and free speech activists, following the tradition of Mario Savio and the Free Speech Movement just half a decade earlier on the same campus.
