Expensive, but really Hollywood, his wife would think. Tight white cashmere skirt and sweater. Diamond rings. Diamond earrings under the earmuffs. Sonja Henie without the ice. A winter wonderland, he thought. Maybe she had lifted and tucked, maybe it was just good genes, but she looked almost the same. A thinking man's version of her girlhood self. He was speechless. Gloria Nagy's delicious satire of New York leisured life could be the beach read of the summer.
