About the author

ANDREW O'HAGAN was born in Glasgow. He has been nominated for the Booker Prize three times, was voted one of Granta's Best Young British Novelists in 2003, and has won the E.M. Forster Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Glenfiddich Writer of the Year Award, and the Los Angeles Times Book Award. He is the Editor-at-Large of the London Review of Books and a contributor to Esquire, the New York Review of Books, and The New Yorker. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and a Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at King's College London.
