A written and pictorial history of the community located north of the City of Toronto. The history begins with the first European settlers, and continues with the growth, and development of this largely rural, agricultural community, at least to the early 1930s. There are illustrations by way of drawings, photographs, maps, and street plans. There is a considerable amount of genealogical information. The appendices include; names of early settlers, township lots, historical street names, lists of cummunity members by their occupation (an unusual feature), ministers and clergy from various churches, temples, etc., schools with principals' names, post offices, and community organizations. A near fine copy in dust jacket.
