A native Texan, veteran of the Nixon and Reagan administrations, and former state chairman of the Texas Republican Party, Tom Pauken is the author of The Thirty Years War: The Politics of the Sixties Generation. He holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He currently serves as chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission.
