Carole Jacobs is a nationally recognized health, fitness, and travel writer whose work has appeared in more than 250 national publications. As a twenty-year senior editor with Shape and Living Fit magazines, a fifteen-year contributing columnist to Men's Fitness magazine, a five-year fitness editor with Travelgirl magazine, and a fifteen-year contributing editor to Where to Retire magazine, she has reported on a wide variety of fitness, health, and mental health issues and worked with many leading medical and fitness experts. She lives in Inyokern, CA.


Chef Patrice Johnson graduated from the California School of Culinary Arts. The owner of Mystique, Your Personal Chef, Chef Johnson specializes in catering, special-occasion dinners, and everyday dinners for clients. In addition, she is an ACE-certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, and works through the Mother Earth health food store chain as a personal dietary and cooking consultant.
