About the author

Rebecca Rijsdijk grew up in the woods behind her parents' house in Holland but now made London her home. She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where she soon realized that she was more interested in words than images. 'Portraits of Girls' is the author's first substantial collection of works.
