About the author

Angela Perkey is the founder and executive director of Students Serve, a national nonprofit that provides money to college students so that they can make a difference. She started the organization in her dorm room in 2006 after noticing that she and her fellow students at the College of William and Mary were studying persistent global problems but not doing anything to solve them. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, she now lives in the Washington, D.C. area and works fulltime as a Business Analyst.
