About this book
Partially based upon the
life of Oakland entrepreneur "Borax" Smith, Burning Daylight was Jack
London's best selling book during his lifetime. The novel is set in the Yukon
Territory in 1893, telling the story of an adventurer, nicknamed “Burning
Daylight,” who went to Alaska and laid the foundations of his fortune before
the gold hunters arrived. Burning Daylight was adapted for American films in
1914, 1920, 1928, and 2010.
