About the author

Melanie Blaikie's love of all things sparkly began when she trained as a diamond valuer for De Beers. She went on to forge a successful career as a jewellery designer, working for many of the biggest names in the industry, including Garrard, Asprey and Tiffany. After studying traditional silver-smithing techniques, Melanie discovered silver clay and fell in love with this amazing medium.
