About This Item

London: Peter Owen, 1993. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. A Review Copy with publisher's folded letter laid in. Pushed a little at the spine tips and bumped at the lower corners but an attractive, tight, fresh copy of this illuminating and hard-to-find biography. The author knew his subject personally, having served with him in the navy and later worked alongside him as a journalist. In a VG dustjacket which is rubbed at the spine tips and corners but is otherwise unclipped.complete and bright. A nice copy.
