In a VG dustjacket which is rubbed at the spine tips and corners but is otherwise unclipped.complete and bright. A nice copy.

Pushed - understandably - at the spine tips but a VG, remarkably square copy. The dustjacket is unclipped but has wrinkles, creases and minor chipping at the extremities. Nevertheless in Good condition.

A charming Signed Presentation Copy of the famous German biographer's own autobiography. pp 431, illustrated with photographs. Original green cloth with gilt titles. Spotting to the fore-edge, contents unaffected. The book is reasonably tight and square with a dusty top edge but otherwise in VG shape. The dustjacket is browned at the spine with a chip at the crown and some other more minor loss at the corners, A Good dustjacket. At the half title the author has written, "to Mr & Mrs (name), cordially, Ludwig, London 18.10.32" Laid into the book are two contemporary postcards upon one of which the author has written, "hoping to see you at this house!, Ludwig". Also laid into the book is a publisher leaflet for the author's forthcoming title, Schlieman of Troy. A nice item.

Evesham: Arthur James Ltd, 1953. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. First Printing. A nice copy of this memoir, a narration of both success and failure in dealing with alcoholism as a disease. The author was an actor who, with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous, eventually overcame his demons. Something of a classic in the genre and in unusually decent condition. Pushed at the spine tips but a tight, square copy in the original dustjacket which has a few scrapes at the extremitiesbut is otherwise in nice clean condition.
