"First impression October, 1902" on copyright page. 15 chapters. Page foredges and bottom edges uncut. 15 chapters. 289 pages. "Illustrated with numerous engravings printed from the original blocks." This is the most well illustrated novel I have seen of this age - almost every other page is an engraved illustration. Flyleaf missing. Several pages with closed tears. Cover label missing pieces. Worn at spine ends, edges and corners. Tight. Some light dampstains toward back otherwise text generally bright and clean. A little foxing of endpages. Some marbleing of the rear boards is missing. Fair condition. .
