Philadelphia: Weik & Weik, 1860. A beautiful and rare print of two parrots, one Pennant's parrot (red and royal blue) and the other possibly a 28 (green parrot, yellow head, red collar, blue on wings), sitting in a eucalyptus. The album consists of 25 hand-coloured lithographed plates. The bird species are grouped by continent. There are five plates of Australian birds. The National Library of Australia holds a copy, but there are no other recorded holdings in Australia. 10 x 14", beautiful condition.
