Original stapled pamphlet in pictorial paper wraps measuring approximately 9 inches by 8 inches folding to 9 inches by 4 inches (as issued) with 86 panels printed in two columns per page. Illustrated throughout mostly from photographs, including a 4 panel map of the Union Pacific System.

Moderately soiled, light edge wear, occasional minor foxing, a bit wrinkled, otherwise Good or better.

Although published as early as 1922 & as late as 1932, this 1928 version seems quite uncommon, OCLC Worldcat locates four copies only (accession number 32942888).

"The Overland Route of the Union Pacific Railroad from Omaha to Ogden is a natural thoroughfare which was followed by immense herds of buffalo and other big game, by the Indians, fur traders, explorers, Mormons, gold seekers, the Overland stage coach, and the Pony Express; nine-tenths of the early emigration to California is estimated to pass along the valley of the Platte River.
