With an inscription by a previous owner, "A Merry Christmas to Barbara from George,'" dated 1934.

Eleanor Farjeon [1881 - 1965] was an English author of children's stories and plays, poetry, biography, history and satire. She won many literary awards and the Eleanor Farjeon Award for children's literature is presented annually in her memory by the Children's Book Circle, a society of publishers.( wikipedia dot com)

Small 8vo, red cloth covers, color title label on front, black title on spine, unpaginated, approx. 64pp, color illustrations on end papers, frontis and every other page. Label slt rubbed at edges, otherwise very good condition. OCLC: 19173569.
