About This Item

(Vinsamlegast sjáðu neðst á síðunni til þýðingar.)

RARE. [At time of listing, there are no other copies for sale online and the book is held at only 11 libraries worldwide.]

Language: Icelandic

482 p. ; ill. (portraits, maps); includes bibliography and index.

Presumably first edition, this blue cloth hardcover with pictorial dust jacket is still in commercial plastic wrap/unopened. As such, some details listed here have been based upon library cataloguing information.

The book and dust jacket appear to be in Near Fine to Fine condition, with the exception of a minor bump to top edge of rear cover and a small amount of shelfwear in places where shrinkwrap has been torn. Please see listing images.

Stephan G. Stephansson (1853-1927) was a celebrated Icelandic-Canadian poet. The title of this volume of his biography relates to the title of his 6-volume collection of poetry Andvökur, so-titled for the fact that much of his poetry was written during bouts of insomnia.

Þýðing (frá Google Translate):

MJÖG sjaldan. [Við skráningu eru engin önnur eintök til sölu á netinu og bókin er aðeins geymd á 11 bókasöfnum um allan heim.]

Tungumál: íslenska

482 bls. ; veikur. (andlitsmyndir, kort); inniheldur heimildaskrá og vísitölu.

Væntanlega fyrsta útgáfa, þessi blái klút innbundni með myndrænu rykjakkanum er ennþá í plastfilmu / óopnuðum. Sumar upplýsingar sem hér eru taldar hafa verið byggðar á upplýsingum um skráningu bókasafna.

Bókin og rykhjúpurinn virðast vera í nánu fínu til fínu ástandi, að undanskildum minniháttar höggi við efri brún aftari kápu og lítið magn af hillufatnaði á stöðum þar sem rýrnupappír hefur verið rifinn. Vinsamlegast sjáðu upptalningarmyndir.

Stephan G. Stephansson (1853-1927) var fagnað íslensk-kanadískt skáld. Titill þessa bindis ævisögu hans tengist titlinum 6 binda ljóðasafni hans Andvökur, svo nefndur fyrir þá staðreynd að mikið af ljóðum hans var skrifað meðan á svefnleysi stóð.
