The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Stamp to the front paste down. The historian Peter Sawyer (1928-2018), whose work on the Vikings and Medieval England was very influential, is particularly known for this annotated catalogue of Anglo-Saxon charters. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, a little fading to the boards and spine, which are otherwise in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
