A delightful first edition book regarding the different species of fish, beautifully illustrated throughout by Lynn Bogue Hunt. The first edition. In the publisher's original, full cloth, binding. Each page is illustrated with a beautiful colour plate by Lynn Bogue Hunt. Hunt was a renowned American wildlife artist and illustrator, who worked on numerous publications including 'Field and Stream' magazine, 'Our American Game Birds', and 'Grouse Feathers and More Grouse Feathers'. A delightful guide to the different species of fish, from freshwater fish such as trout to saltwater fish such as tuna and salmon. With additional sections on dangerous sea creatures, whales and sharks. S. Kip Farrington was an American writer and record-breaking sport fisherman. His writing was widely influential in popularizing big game fishing during the twentieth century. With a bookplate for one, 'Francis G. Oksala' to the front paste-down. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges. Bumping to the spine. Bookplate to the front paste-down. Small marks to the edges of the rear paste-down and free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age-toned but otherwise very bright and clean. Very Good
