Inscribed on the half title, "roma 15 Oct 1911, a Gino Bandini, in memore affetto, Emilio Piovanelli" Very good chance that is journalist, mason and Junior Mayor of Rome, Gino Bandini (1881-1948). Handsome dark green cloth with gilt ruling with gilt leaves inside the borders, spine has gilt ruling as well. Red polished page edges. Only a few signs of wear on the covers, bit of rubbing to spine tips. Interior floral endpapers, front endpaper has a small book plate "Bandini", else clean and unmarked. The story of the author's trip to Scotland and his look at the customs, history, language and people. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
