London: Printed for Her Majesty's Stationery Office, by Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1895. Hardcover. Good. [4], 867, [1], 36 p.; 28 cm. Publisher's? dark green cloth with gilt-stamped spine title. Blind-stamped decoration on both boards. Yellow endpapers. Many pages not opened. Includes Catalogue (Revised to 1st February 1895) of English, Scotch, and Irish Record Publications, Reports of the Historical Manuscripts Commission, and Annual Reports of the Deputy Keepers of the Public Records, England and Ireland on final 36 pages. Tipped in at front free endpaper a slip indicating that the volume was "Transmitted by direction of The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury." On the front fixed endpaper are two bookplates, one indicating that this was received by the Library Company of Philadelphia in 1896 and the other that it was presented by that institution to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in 1968. A heavy book; for international shipping, it will have to be sent by priority international. In Good Condition: remains of spine label at tail of spine; cloth has separated along back joint and at head of front joint; chipped and frayed at ends of spine; a few pages opened carelessly; pages are otherwise clean and tight.
