Amsterdam, 1692. Very good condition. A decorative double hemisphere map of the world, showing California separated from the mainland by "Mare Rubrum", and with an incomplete outlines of New Zealand and Australia which is shown attached to New Guinea. With original outline color, and signed P. I. Peeters.

Includes allegorical vignettes of the 4 continents, one of which features a Native American. 11 1/2 x 6 1/2". Shirley 554.
