From the collection of the Richard M. Dorson Memorial Library, Folklore Institute, Indiana University, its bookplate namestamp half-title page and blindstamp title page and a few interior pages with blindstamp as well. 48 pp. A Lecture delivered at the request of the Senate of University College, Liverpool. Edward Harper Parker ( 1849-1926 ) was a barrister and noted China scholar, and although not a trained linguist, his greatest contribution historically may well be his unusual outlook on colloquial Chinese language. . First Edition. Pictorial Printed Wrappers. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
