D. (Dietz) Edzard - Par Maximilien Gauthier (French Artist 1952 Softcover)
Copyright 1952, published by Les Gémeaux (Paris); written in French. There is an unverified inscription on the title page. The inscription reads, "à mon vieux ami Herbert Bittner." There is an additional inscription by an unknown person.
No dust jacket. Softcover is significantly torn at the spine head and tail and the textblock signatures are visible as a result, the spine is also creased and the bottom corner of the textblock is crumpled/folded. The binding is cracked as a result of the spine wear and can be seen from the inside at the start of the "Planches" section (full-page black and white illustrations); please handle carefully as the pages can start to detach. There are small tears along the edges of the cover and nicks along the fore-edge. Cover is soiled, smudged, and the plate on the front is creased and nicked. There is a faint fluid stain on top left corner of front cover that does not affect the pages. Overall, this softcover is in Acceptable or Poor condition.
