In the original German.A study into the history of German literature, an extensive and fascinating volume.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, three colour folding plates, twelve monochrome folding plates, ten colour plates, and nine monochrome plates, as well and many full paged and in text illustrations.Written by Robert Keonig.Facsimile front endpaper, adhered to the gutter of the half-title in an amateur repair. Bookseller's label to the rear endpaper. In the original quarter morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart, with light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting a little but remains firm. Lacking the original front endpaper, with a facsimile front endpaper adhered to the gutter of the half-title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some odd spots. Small closed tears to a couple of folding plates. Very Good
