A rebound edition of this fascinating study of English surnames by Mark Antony Lower, complete in two volumes and in a half crushed morocco binding with marbled endpapers and textblock. Mark Antony Lower was a Sussex historian renowned for founding the 'Sussex Archaeological Society'. A third edition enlarged copy. Featuring a tipped in bookplate of a 'George Sheppard Harvey' to the front pastedown of each volume. In a half crushed morocco binding with marbled endpapers and textblock. Externally slightly rubbed to extremities, joints, and spines. Slight rubbing to boards. Bookplate of a 'George Sheppard Harvey' to the front pastedown of each volume. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned with the odd spot. Heavy spotting to first and last few pages. Tidemark to lower extremity of first few pages to volume I. Very Good
