Mark Antony Lower was a Sussex historian renowned for founding the 'Sussex Archaeological Society'. A third edition enlarged copy. Featuring a tipped in bookplate of a 'George Sheppard Harvey' to the front pastedown of each volume. In a half crushed morocco binding with marbled endpapers and textblock. Externally slightly rubbed to extremities, joints, and spines. Slight rubbing to boards. Bookplate of a 'George Sheppard Harvey' to the front pastedown of each volume. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned with the odd spot. Heavy spotting to first and last few pages. Tidemark to lower extremity of first few pages to volume I. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
