New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1943. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/near fine. First edition. Hardcover in tan paper covered boards stamped in dark brown. Orange illustrated endpapers. 212 pp. Second issue with "back" corrected on p. 167, line 15. A tight, fine example, pages embrowned as is ineviable , this being a wartime-produced book with disclaimer on the title page. In correct, dust jacket with this book NOT in list of Hardy Boys books on front flap; front panel bright, spine minimally faded and a small closed tear head of the front gutter fold and narrow faint creasing along the top edge.
