A 1967 edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with 7 full-size illustrations and a folding chronological chart. Collated complete. This is an association copy, presented by Wiles to L. E. J. Brooke, who wrote the book Somerset Newspapers, 1725-1960. It is inscribed by the author to Brooke to the front free end paper. Loosely inserted is a letter, in which Wiles apologises to Brooke for the late arrival of this book and informs him of his latest ventures. Brooke's bookplate is adhered to the front paste down. R.
