Eight essays, assembled for the centenary of Hopkins's birth, in a project initiated by The Kenyon Review's editor John Crowe Ransom and edited by Cleanth Brooks. The Makers of Modern Literature series. Contributions from Robert Lowell, Marshall McLuhan, Josephine Miles and others. 12mo (4-3/4" x 7-1/4"), gray cloth with black lettering on heavily sunned (to brown) spine, boards soiled, wear to crown and heel, edges and end papers age-toned, rusty paperclip stain to ToC and facing page. Name of former owner Ann Evans (Berthoff) written on ffep along with pencil price notation, her underscoring and/or marginalia on approximately 55 pages and rfep. Laid-in clipping from the TLS, Dec. 22-29, 2006 of an article on GMH by Simon Humphries.

Shipping charge may be reduced on some books weighing less than 1 lb to U.S. addresses. International Priority shipping charges may be reduced on books that fit in a USPS small flat-rate box.
