Smith, Elder & Co., London, 1901, 11th impression; 8vo, pp x, 555, five folding maps; plum calf prize binding with the front board gilt stamped with the crest of Sir Roger Manwood's School, Sandwich, Kent and with a note on the front end paper by the headmaster, Harold B Ryley, awarding the book for maths and science to A V Chaney in July 1903; marbled end papers and edges; the front board is detached and the covering of the spine missing but apart from some foxing of the blank leaves at the beginning and end internally the book is in good condition; offered waf as a binding copy.
