Paperback. 55p., 9.5x7 inch paperback, from the library of Betita Martinez (with her original surname Sutherland penned on the cover); wraps toned and soiled, interior clean. Johnston was a White American photographer, architect and feminist whose work included African American higher education and documenting the lives of African Americans. Hampton Institute in Virginia was an historic black college founded to train formerly enslaved people.
