About This Item
London: Hamish Hamilton, 1999. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine. 9.5" by 6.5". None. A very smart first UK edition of this thrilling novel from Paretsky, signed by the author. First UK edition. Signed by the author to the title page. The nineth V. I. Warshawski novel. When Warshawski swerves to avoid hitting a woman on a dark street, she never would have expected it to be Nicola Aguinaldo, a woman on the run from prison. Soon enough she finds herself in the middle of an aggressive investigation into Nicola's death. All the while an old ally, one-time lover, begins writing for a new entertainment conglomerate and starts selling Warshawski down the river. Written by Sara Paretsky, an American detective fiction writer, known for the creation of her character V. I. Warshawski. In the original black cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the front board. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
