Sixty-eight full-page vintage aerial photographs spanning the period from 1900 to 1939, each accompanied by a detailed descriptive caption. Full page reproduction at the back of a 1710 Gabriel Bodenehr plan view drawing of the city of Berlin and its sister city Colln, expanding upon the 1652 drawing by Johann Gregor Memhardt. A marvelous photographic record of the superb architecture and landscape design of a breathtaking city that was destroyed forever by the devastating Allied bombing of WWII. Text in German. Fine, condition, in a clean and bright Near Fine dust jacket that has not been price-clipped.
