London: George Bell and Sons, 1905. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7" by 5". None. A anthology of passages, in verse and prose, edited by Sir George Otto Trevelyan. In an attractive institutional binding, signed by Cross Wyvern. With a prize bookplate to the front pastedown presented to a G. P. Clarke. Edited by Sir George Otto Trevelyan, the British statesman and author. Elected MP for Tynemouth and North Shields in 1865, Trevelyan held numerous political positions throughout his career, including Civil Lord of Admiralty and Secretary of Scotland, remaining in politics until his resignation in 1897. Rebound in an institutional full crushed morocco binding. Externally, smart. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown and binder's stamp to the verso of the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with only some light foxing to the first and last leaves. Very Good Indeed
