Three volumes finely and sumptuously bound in early 19th c. unsigned crushed oxblood morocco, covers with gilt rules, wide entertwining gilt tooled patterned border and geometric tooled center panel, spine in five compartments with four gilt raised bands, three ornate gilt emblems and gilt lettering, cover edges and turn ins gilt ruled, page edges marbled. With 5 folding letter facsimile plates and one engraved plate of seals, the plates light scattered foxing. The bindings Near fine, small rubs at corners, internally bright and free of foxing or toning other than the aforementioned plates. A stunning set. . First Thus. Morocco. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
