London: Published by T. Kinnersley / Ptinted by J. M'Gowan, 1820. First Edition First Printing . Leather Bound. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavos. 613; 674. Hardcovers bound in 3/4 black leather with marbled paper-covered boards. Now housed in removable clear mylar dust jackets. Raised bands on the spines and dual labels with the titles and volume numbers in gilt. Moderate wear to the bindings, which are bumped and rubbed. Hinges are secure. Text is toned and shows foxing as well as some occasional stains. Illustrated with 16 of 17 engravings, lacking the engraving of Sheridan on page 8 of Volume II. The engravings include a frontis for each volume as well as an engraved title page for each volume. A sound set.
