New York: Murray Hill Verlags Handlung, 1874. Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, stamped brown cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. This is the German edition that was printed by Murray Hill Publishers of New York. Exterior shows scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Both exterior hinges have small splits in the cloth. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues and text pages are tight. There is a bit of pulling at the second front end page as well as the copyright page. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. There were two pages that had corner fold, these have been straightened out the decrease is still present. Page 663 has a small chip in the upper outside corner which measures less than 1/2 inch in length. On a couple pages proceeding is also smaller chips. Pages are toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting, but otherwise pages are clean.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
