St. Louis & Houston: T. N. James & Co., 1884. First Edition . Pictorial Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Atlas Folio - over 23" - 25" tall. First Edition, 2nd State of Texas classic, signed and inscribed on front end paper, "To_____, With regards of J. Armoy Knox of Texas Siftings" And below the inscription is affixed a stamp with Knox's photograph and "Texas Sifting". #201 Jenkins' Basic Texas Books, #2174 Six Guns and #2217, The Rampaging Herd. Book has been professionally repaired with bright gilt type and graphics on front board and on spine. Light spotting and rubbing. Corners are bumped with cloth worn and a little frayed. Tight with slight right lean. End papers are worn on edges and there are a few instances of penciled notes. Interior has a few smudges throughout with an instance or two of tearing.
