This well worn wrappered book is in acceptable condition given its age and purpose, with a loose binding at the spine, revealing the fastening. Stapes are rusted.There is a tear across the spine 1cm from the bottom edge. The cover is lightweight, and well worn, with scuffing, creases and discolouration, and is dogeared at the bottom right corner. Internally in good condition, with some wear and marks to the outer page edges. The front endpaper has some marks, and there is a pencilled price at the top right corner. There is some creasing to the right (top and bottom) corners and some yellowing. 162 pp, includes 10 colour photographs and numerous black and white advertising illustrations.
This compilation of unique Australian recipes of the period includes everything from savouries and soups to marine foods, meats and cakes, all carefully selected for "economy and attractiveness". It offers a unique glimpse into how Australians lived and ate in wartime. Shipped within 2 days, carefully packaged, tracking available.
