London: Printed and Sold by H. Hills, in Black-fryars, near the Water-side. For the Benefit of the Poor, 1708. The Second Edition. Disbound. Good +/ vg-. pp. 24. 8vo, small stapled pamphlet, 4" x 7-1/8". A few small worm trails to margin by page edges, which do not effect text, edge of spine darkened, otherwise, a clean, firm copy. Sacheverell, a Tory, was an important figure in High Anglican circles of the time and lent his name to the riots of 1710, after his sermons had led to attacks on Non-Conformists. In similar vein, this text includes a staunch defence of the Established Church.
