Octavo, illustrated and expanded edition of a book that was released in 1897, pp. xii, 170, color plates, teal cloth boards with gilt stamped lettering on spine and upper board, gilt and black illustration in vellum scroll on upper board (designed by Margaret Armstrong, initialed MA) 7 color plates by Howard Chandler Christy, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Poignant romance in the pre-auto era. BAL 15387. Condition of this book: Boards lightly worn, cover illustration darkening; rear hinge cracked. Leaves clean with scattered foxing, free front endpaper is lacking, images fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is loose but fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Quantity Available: 1.
