Quarto (10 7/16 x 7 3/4 inches; 264 x 198 mm.). 255, [1] pp. Twelve color plates with captioned tissue guards and numerous black and white text illustrations in the text.
Publisher's vellum over boards, front cover pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt, spine lettered in gilt, pictorial endpapers printed in tan and white, top edge gilt, others uncut. A very fine copy, partially uncut, complete with the original glassine wrapper. Housed in the original publishers cardboard slipcase with matching limitation number.
