An Ellery Queen Junior Mystery based on the Columbia film of the same name starring Ralph Bellamy, Margaret Lindsay, & Charley Grapewin. Despite G&D being the publisher, this is the First Edition, First Printing, from 1941. Hardcover 8vo has bright red cloth over boards stamped in black letters to front & spine. Condition is VG- (minus): very clean, front hinge cracked, but text block secure, pages clean with light tanning to edges. Erased name in pencil on ffep. Very slight rubbing. The unclipped DJ (with codes intact at top & bottom of front flap) is VG-/Good+: bright & colorful, with classic 1940's cover art (unattributed), mild-moderate rubbing to extremities & slight chipping nicely protected in clear mylar cover.
