Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Unpublished, 1912. 9 1/2 " by 6 1/2" attached at top edge to larger backing board. Pencil-signed by White on the mount. Undated, but circa 1912. White was a major figure in the pictorialist movement and this portrait of the first Art Director of the Carnegie Institute is a great example of that style. Provenance: from the Beatty family estate. The photograph is in excellent condition.. First Edition. Paper. Collectible-Fine. Illus. by Clarence H. White. 9 1/2 " by 6 1/2". Photo.
