Illustrated with frontispiece. A short biographical sketch and collection of poetry from Reverend George Crabbe, an English poet, surgeon and clergyman best known for his early use of realistic narrative form and his descriptions of middle and working-class life and people. Poems include: The Village, The Library, The Birth of Flattery, Reflections upon the Subject, The Hall of Justice, Woman! and many more. Bound in half black calf with cloth boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
