Finland: Independent International Picture Corp, 1956. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Fine. A very striking and uncommon, standard Finnish A2 cinema-used poster for the 1954 big-game hunting documentary, Africa Adventure, which follows a safari in East Africa led by famous hunter Robert Ruark. The film was released in Finland in 1956 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This poster is not a re-issue or a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. This particular poster measures 61cm x 40cm and was printed by Fotopaino Oy. The poster is in Near Fine condition with one small tear (less than half-inch) to the right edge and a short nick to the bottom edge. Minor creasing to the white border. There are neat single pinholes to the corners - quite difficult to detect. Appears to be a rolled poster with no definite folding creases. A very striking image - almost lithographic quality - in fantastic condition for a cinema-used poster.

Finland, 1950. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. An original and extremely scarce Finnish A2 film poster for the Roy Rogers movie THE GAY RANCHERO. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related The film was screened for the first time in Finland in May 1950 and there were no further theatrical releases. A very rare treasure of movie memorabilia. Printed in Finland by Piiropaino Oy, the legendary Finnish printers. Signed at lower right corner by the designer (in the plate or stone) Measures 24.50" x just under 17.50" approx. A truly remarkable example - thin paper stock as you would expect from the era, it has been stored flat for decades but even so retains its original fold lines to centre in both directions. No pin holes and no tape residues to verso, however. Finland: M.G.M., 1960. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. A terrific Finnish A2 one-sheet, cinema poster for the French-Italian movie of 1959, The Giant of Marathon (aka Battle of Marathon). The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in 1960 with no subsequent releases of any description. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. This particular poster is a standard size 23.5" x 16" approx. It is in fantastic condition - unfolded and with no chips or tears to the edges - one small crease upper right corner. This is a cinema-used poster and there are pinholes but this is in really Fine - or better - condition. Beautifully illustrated and artist signature in the plate. A stunning example of vintage cinema art and design.

Finland: Compagnie Lyonnaise de Cinéma/Metheus Film/Rapid Film, 1966. 1st Edition . No Binding. Near Fine. Cinema-used Finnish one-sheet for the movie AGENT 505: DEATH TRAP IN BEIRUT. Agent 505, played by Frederick Stafford, was a German/Italian/French co-production aiming to capitalize on the success of the 60's spy-genre and in particular the James Bond franchise. He was the Common Market's 007. The film was first screened in Finnish cinemas in 1966 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is fabulous and I was going to describe it as Mint Unused but then at the last second I noticed a pinhole and small tear at the centre top between the "V" and "E" in "Genevieve. Appears as though a tack was used to fix the poster and then it was just pulled through at dismounting. It really is difficult to spot. Finland: United Artists, 1953. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. A fabulous-condition Finnish A2 cinema poster for the 1953 movie, VICE SQUAD starring Edward G. Robinson & Paulette Godard. The movie is also known as The Girl from Room 17 and it is this less "salacious" title which is referred to in the poster. The actual Finnish title translates as "Flying Squad". The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in 1953 with no subsequent theatrical screenings. This poster is not a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. Standard size 23.5" x slightly under 16" approx. It is in fantastic condition - unfolded and with no chips or tears to the edges - one or two small handling creases. At the top - in the brim of the hat - there is a puncture or split to the paper although there is not actual loss. There are no pinholes - it may be an unused poster. Four-color offset lithograph on paper. [28⅛ x 23¼ in. (71.4 x 59.2 cm)], one of a printing of 4,000. From a series of four works titled "Column" the others were named Column no. 2 (Picasso 90), Column no. 3 (Chile-F), and Column no. 4 (IB-affair). The title refers to the work's likeness to newspaper columns: full of facts, but a colorfully cartooned map of textual facts. The artist's signature is reproduced in the lower right. Discoloration to white edges, else very good. Still very pleasant to the eye. All posters are presently stored between acid free boards, flat, under weight. They will be shipped rolled, in tubes.
