Nine pages of subscribers' names follow text in vol. 2; subscribers include President John Adams; booksellers Thomas and William Bradford of Philadelphia and George Merriam of Worcester who each subscribed for 6 copies, presumably for resale; and painter Charles Willson Peale. Each title page has former owner inscriptions in upper corners: upper right -- M. Yarnall (in an old hand); upper left -- A. Feo Feb. 1948. Early American Imprints, Ser. 2 (Shaw & Shoemaker), 432. No indication that the 3 plates shown in the Early American Imprints copy were bound in this copy. Lacking the 3 leaves of plates; otherwise in Very Good Condition: edges rubbed and leather slightly scuffed; pages are clean and tight.
